This is not a bad little memorial to the Chevrolet Trooper, a forgotten motor that doesn't deserve to be.
This is actually a second-generation model that was equipped to be more powerful and better off-road than its younger brother, although it still lagged behind the competition. These were truly massive vehicles, weighing in at 4,155 lb (1,885 kg). Powering that weight under the hood is a 3.2 litre, single overhead cam, 175hp petrol engine, and yet it seems to develop plenty of power at low revs and clearly can handle itself off road. A great car that deserves to be remembered here!
