This bike of gilera Saturno was a real favourite when it was first displayed...in 1940. By this time, Europe had other things on its mind.
The Second World War came at the wrong time for this two-wheeler, as its sale was pushed back six years by the conflict that broke out. That didn't stop this model having a great run, pushing all the way through to 1958 and inspiring such classics as the Moto Guzzi Falcon and the Norton 500 M18. Unfortunately, the 500 had gone out of style by then, but it is truly stylish now and looks fantastic in this little gallery.
